The Harvard Business School Club of Northeastern Ohio is pleased to announce the selection of Beth Mooney, Chairman and CEO of KeyCorp, as its 2019 Leadership Award recipient.
Beth Mooney has been chosen as the club’s Leadership Award recipient for 2019. Since she became Chairman and CEO in 2011, Beth has guided KeyCorp through a period of profound change in the banking industry. Forbes has recognized her as one of “the World’s 100 Most Powerful Women” and Fortune Magazine has identified her among the top 50 “Most Powerful Women in Business” and in 2017, American Banker Magazine named her “Banker of the Year.” She is a recipient of the “Corporate Responsibility Award’ from the Foreign Policy Association for Keybank’s civic leadership and community outreach.
Her impact on the Northeast Ohio community extends far beyond her corporate leadership. She serves on the board of directors of the United Way of Greater Cleveland and acted as co-chair of the 2017/2018 campaign. She is a former chair of the Greater Cleveland Partnership and she now serves as a Trustee and Treasurer of the Cleveland Orchestra and a Trustee of the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
Whether in her role as corporate leader or community leader, Beth Mooney has had an immense positive impact on KeyCorp, Northeast Ohio and society in general.

Since 1959, the Harvard Business School Club of Northeastern Ohio has recognized one CEO or Chairman of a public, private, or non-profit organization for responsible leadership of the employees of his or her organization and for the impact that the individual has had on the broader Northeast Ohio community and society in general.
